Greg Rutherford’s passion for science began in early childhood and has continued throughout his life. He began his post-secondary education in the field of microbiology and eventually shifted his studies to the physical sciences.
He received a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta with a major in physics and chemistry in 1975. He has since taken a number of university classes ranging in topics from theology to statistics.
Greg became a Christian in 1973 during his baccalaureate studies at the University of Alberta. He soon developed a trust in the truthfulness of the Bible but was unable to reconcile the creation account and the Genesis Flood with his scientific beliefs. This disconnect stayed with him in a somewhat dormant fashion for 20 years. In 1993, a creation seminar proved to be a turning point in his life. The information conveyed provided an intellectually satisfying link between what he learned in the sciences and what he knew to be true in his Christian faith. Since then he focused his studies on creation/evolution issues.
Greg Rutherford is endorsed as a seminar speaker by the Creation Science Association of British Columbia. He and his wife currently reside in Kelowna, British Columbia.
